If you are injured as a result of an accident which was not your fault, then you may be entitled to compensation.
Types of accident
You could have been involved in a car accident, a trip or a fall. Perhaps you were injured whilst using defective equipment or equipment you were not properly trained to use. In fact, there are many different circumstances that can result in personal injury and give rise to a claim for compensation.
- Road traffic accidents
- Accidents due to defective pavements or road surfaces
- Industrial accidents/accidents at work
- Accidents as a result of poorly signposted/illuminated roadworks
- Objects left in dangerous/precarious positions causing injury
Another situation where you may be entitled to compensation is if you have been injured as a result of someone committing a criminal act.
Making a claim
You can usually only make a claim for personal injury within three years of the date of the accident in which you were involved. Sometimes a court may be prepared to allow a claim to go ahead outside this time period and that is something we would discuss with you, if appropriate.
In general, though, the three year rule applies and so if you think you have a claim, then don’t delay and contact us today for an initial assessment.
